"Good lass"

Just so you know, this post will be random. I know we haven't written in a while, so I'll try to fill you in on random stuff that's happened. First, as the title suggests...I've been called a good lass by some stranger. I was on a run and as I approached this elderly Scottish man, he kindly stepped to the side of walk way and let me pass...he was very respectful and kind....I must say I love the people here!

Another random bit...this happened a few weeks ago when I was coming home from the grocery store. I was on my bicycle, set on the easiest gear, and I had to pedal extremely hard to cut through the wind! When I was almost home I noticed there were some ladies lawn bowling. I had passed the lawn numerous times before, but never had I actually seen people bowling! There were about 6 ladies, all lined up in their matching white windbreakers, waiting to bowl...in the rain of course! It was cute, and crazy at the same time.

The beautiful daffodils have died, along with the cherry blossoms...and now a bunch of other flowers are blooming. I of course have no idea what to call the flowers...but they smell good! Its amazing to see the seasons change.

This week is pretty big for Kyle. He had his end of year evaluation yesterday, which went well! Today he is reading a paper for his department...so we'll see how that goes.

A few weeks ago, I joined a friend for a fun day trip to Glasgow (all the pics are from that day). The day included a lovely stroll through some botanical gardens (feeding squirrels along the way), a yummy lunch at an Indian restaurant, and a leisurely walk around the campus of Glasgow University--can't wait to go back! Thanks Robyn!!

Hello Strobels,

Looks like you guys are living the life. I hope someday my travels will take me out that way to explore. I came across your blog yesterday, congrats on all your accomplishments and good luck on all those to come.

Kyle, I am an old high school/post high school friend of Kelli's. You married a great girl and of course you know this, otherwise you wouldn't have married her.

Kelli, tell you family hello for me.

Congrats again.
