Life in Aberdeen
So, as many of you know, Kelli has taken off for a couple of days. Actually, she will be gone for 5 nights total. She has only been gone for 2 days thus far, but that sadly, is the same amount of times I have burned myself since she's been gone. As if that wasn't bad enough, whenever I look at one of the burns I see the time I burned myself a year ago trying to do ironing for Kelli. The level of my inadequacies in everyday life is mind boggling.
On to other news, Kelli and I had a chance to make it out to the country side. Sadly, all the animals were put away and the bakery we were going to was closed, but we found this random and sweet chair made out of a tree for kelli to sit in.
So as you can see, that is pretty cool. The weather here has been a bit hit or miss. One day will be in the 50's and two days later it will be snowing. Fortunately we got these umbrellas for Christmas that won't fit inside out because of the crazy wind - here is me using one.
Unfortunately, this happened within 1 minute of opening it up. Fortunately though, it tends to work pretty well here. But I'm not sure an iron umbrella would hold up with some of the gusts we get.
Other than that, things are pretty much normal here. The weather has kept us on our toes, but it is better than in Chicago! (sorry Chicagoans).
From what I have heard thus far, kelli is having a good time in NY with her brother Danny, and hopefully the classes will go well. While she is gone I am working long days trying to get through several books right now. Other than that, all is well north of Moscow. Hopefully there will be more to tell you soon!
Thanks for checking in! kyle
