California

So I know a lot of you think we are stuck somewhere in Nevada. It is a bit ridiculous doing these blogs this far behind, but maybe once our life gets back to normal we will be on time with these things.

Our roadtrip was a success. We made it back to CA in one piece, and didn't have any real trouble on the way. It was good to see California again. For those of you who have never been to California here are some pics that might look a bit different from what you normally think California is.

We are oddly obsessed with inspections - though I sometimes think it is all for show.
We like our scary X-filesish windmills.
We have trains.
Some really bad drivers.
And our own method to the gas crisis.
All in all it is good to be back. We were able to visit with some friends from Aberdeen while we were here which was really fun, as well as go to a wedding of close friends. We look forward to being back in Scotland where we can finally get back to our "normal" lives (and where we look for oil in the Sea).
