Arizona: The rich man's Utah

When you are driving through the Southwest it is easy to imagine that at somepoint the people that moved there assumed that large rock formations would one day be worth their weight in gold. The same people, I imagine, who are clinging onto laserdisc and minidisc players, hoping that the market will turn.

That being said, Arizona has some incredibly beautiful parts. Mind you, we were in Arizona a whole hour on our trip, but here are some pics of what we saw.
So there's red rocks (or at least slightly pinkish rocks)...
Grey rocks...
and tan rocks...

I had to stop before this took a turn for the worse and turned into a slightly incoherent Dr. Seuss blog.

Well, at this point of the trip we were on our last day. Pretty hard to imagine looking back at it. At this point, we were REALLY looking forward to being home.

And where, exactly, IS home?

Hey! I still have a Minidisk player. It was a genius idea except for the fact that right after they came out CD burners got more affordable. And since the CD was the preferred method of information transportation at the time the Minidisk player fell into the technology abyss (aka my bedroom).
