Nebraska: Friend or Foe?

For those of you who were wondering, we didn't, in fact, get taken up by aliens somewhere in the middle of Nebraska, nor did we get lost in the wilderness left to live in our car and hunt for food. The major culprit is really my laziness, and the fact that I messed up my neck (not even sure how). So, in any case, let me pick up in Nebraska.

Kelli, as you can imagine, offered an exuberant cry of glee as we found a coffee shop in the middle of nowhere. So, as I got gas (which was cheap by the way (Kyle states with bitter sarcasm)), Kelli frolicked over to get us some much needed coffee. And yes, it was called the Lasso Espresso.

Here is me when I was driving and sleeping:
And, I'm not sure why we put this up. It could be because we wanted another picture of what most of the United States looks like, or, even more likely, because we thought that this picture represented the existential paradox of the earliest American (British) settlers - who, having the rugged wilderness on one side, and fencing off danger on the other, huddled together for some kind of familial security and warmth. Notice the one cow wandering off. Might we not name her Anne Hutchinson?
