Things are a changing

Well, Kelli and I have some exciting news...we're preg...just kidding. Seriously though, our life is going to be changing rather drastically because Kelli is now officially a lecturer at Robert Gordon University. We are both really excited and I'm incredibly proud of her as you can imagine (but deep down think she is trying to one-up me at every level - she got her doctorate first and now a university lecture position first...I see how it is). We haven't found out a lot about the position yet, in terms of specifics, but hopefully on Monday all of that will be sorted out.

For those of you who knew about the interview process, you might be surprised how quickly we found out. Kelli interviewed on Friday at 2:15 in the afternoon and was called with the position around 7 that night. It was a bit of a whirlwind, considering we knew of the position in November, and had expected to wait a couple of weeks before we heard. Kelli, on a sidenote, had to give a powerpoint presentation and in the middle of it threw their wireless mouse on the floor. That evidently helped her stand out!

Anyway, I knew Kelli wouldn't write about it so I thought I would let everyone know. We are certainly excited for what this could mean for her future career options, as well as the opportunity for her to teach and train students. Now it seems that we have an inter-apartment rivalry between the two universities in Aberdeen - Go U of A!

CONGRATULATIONS, Kelli! We're proud of you! Apparently in a fit of competitiveness, Kyle forgot to mention that The Times has called Robert Gordon University "the best modern university in the UK." (I guess the U of A, being 500 years old, didn't qualify in that category!) Lee

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations, Kelli, we're SO proud of and excited for you! Can't wait to hear about all the weird ins-and-outs of teaching in a British school. :) Remember, though, that students everywhere are the same in one aspect: offer them food and they'll do anything!

Good work Kel, I always have known that you are smarter than Kyle. Especially because you chose a health field. Congrats. Maybe this means that you will stay over there long enough for us to come visit.

KEL!!! How freaking exciting!! Brad and I both want to come to the university and sit in on your lecture! You can throw our technology on the ground, we don't care!! Congrats, my dear! That is an amazing accomplishment! We knew once you walked in there and told them you were Kelli Strobel, that it was just a question of how soon you could start! Way to go!! Love you.
